General Liabilty Claims Examiner

Our client is a Regional Property and Casualty Commercial Insurance Company, located in Arizona. We are seeking a highly professional Sr. Claims Examiner to be responsible for General Liability claims.You will have 10 plus years of handling commercial general liability claims, including litigated claim files. 

 









Will direct local independent adjusters, defense counsel and make liability, damage and coverage assessments.

 

Will determine complex coverage issues and write letters to insured, claimants and attorneys.

 

Responsible for writing reinsurance reports.

 

Will handle some complex coverage matters and complex litigated files.

 

Responsible for settling losses and controlling expenses within the department guidelines.

 

Must have extensive investigative skills and knowledge of coverage.

 

Must communicate effectively within the Claims Department.

 

Must be self-motivated.

 













High School Diploma or equivalent required; Some College level coursework preferred.

 

Must have at least ten years insurance examiner experience and certificates as required by state(s).

 

CPCU, AIC or AEI preferred.

 

Must have knowledge and basic proficiency of computer programs in a Windows environment, including Word, Excel and E-mail.

 

This position may require some travel.
