Heavy Equipment Appraiser

Summary of Role: Under the direction of Branch Manager/Unit Manager/Supervisor, prepares written appraisals on damage to on or off the road heavy equipment; establishes accurate and acceptable repair figures if repairable; establishes pre-loss actual cash value and possible salvage value if non-repairable.

 

Responsibilities:

*  Appraises heavy equipment damage to determine repair costs for claim settlement.

*  Establishes pre-loss actual cash value and salvage value for heavy equipment beyond repair.

*  Establishes cargo loss value if applicable.

*  Examines damaged unit for interior/exterior damage.

*  Interprets client?s special instructions to accurately handle claims.

*  Prepares reports/documents for appropriate personnel as required.

*  Records case time/billings.

*  Solicits business locally when called upon to do so.

*  Upholds the Crawford Code of Business Conduct at all times.

*  Performs other duties as requested.
