Hospital & FQHC Liaison
Community Health Network of CT, Inc. (CHNCT) is the state's only not-for-profit managed care organization, and is under contract with the Connecticut Department of Social Services to coordinate access to high-quality, affordable health care to approximately 80,000 of the state's medically underserved. The Hospital and FQHC Liaison will serve as the primary point of contact for CHNCT?s hospital, hospital clinics and health center network of providers.? This individual, working with other CHNCT departments, will be responsible for managing all aspects of these relationships including but not limited to contract oversight, contract change implementation, and contract renegotiation; billing and administrative issues research and resolution; provider compliance and education; and outreach activities.? These activities will be facilitated through regularly scheduled Joint Operating Committee meetings as well as informal meetings on an as needed basis.? The liaison will also schedule and coordinate the quarterly FQHC Roundtable sessions, develop a schedule of joint operating committee meetings to address any issues and to keep open lines of communication between hospital and health center staff and CHNCT, resolve any claims, billing or other issues that arise from joint operating committee meetings or that are brought to the liaison via another route, be responsible for problem resolution and relationship-building with contracted hospitals and health centers, utilize and analyze data effectively in servicing clients and?assist in negotiating the financial, operational and delivery aspects of provider contracts for CHNCT.

Candidates must posses a Bachelor's degree in a Health care related field and a?state motor vehicle license.? Additionally, candidates must have strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. be a highly motivated self-starter, have the ability to prioritize effectively and?handle multiple tasks without losing track of deadlines, have a working knowledge of health care operational business requirements, be familiar with managed health care systems, including but not limited to encounter-based processing, fee-for-service reimbursements, membership enrollment, provider data, and member data confidentiality issues, have the ability to work collaboratively with all departments of the organization, and posses excellent computer and reporting skills; Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint.
