Insurance Claims Processor
Consolidated Bus Transit, a multi-corporate office, is seeking an INSURANCE CLAIMS PROCESSOR at our offices in Brooklyn, New York.
General ResponsibilitiesInvestigate vehicular accidents to determine the cause and origin of the accident by interviewing witnesses, participants and other individuals containing relevant information. Acquire scene photographs. Document and report the findings of the investigation to the client which would consist of insurance companies, adjusters or law firms.Scan documents for electronic retrieval using pre-established criteria for the file data base for searching and browsing electronically filed documents.
Specific Qualifications
The statements in this job description are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. It is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required.Qualified applicants should have two to three years? relevant work experience.Must be PC literate and able to prioritize and multitask.Able to handle routine filing on a daily basis and be able to work unsupervised and with a minimum amount of direction.Must have good communication skills to work with claimants and insurance companies.
