Insurance Customer Service Rep/Inside Sales

Job Purpose:

Serves customers by providing product and service information; resolving product and service problems.



Duties:

* Attracts potential customers by answering product and service questions; suggesting information about other products and services.



* Opens customer accounts by recording account information.



* Maintains customer records by updating account information.



* Resolves product or service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution.



* Maintains financial accounts by processing customer adjustments.



* Recommends potential products or services to management by collecting customer information and analyzing customer needs.



* Prepares product or service reports by collecting and analyzing customer information.



* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.



Must be aggresive/assertive, a self-starter with the ability to influence others.  Should have demonstrated effective presentation skill through both verbal and written communications. 

 

Your responsibilities will include the following:  answering the phone, quoting and writing new business, prospecting, following up on leads, endorsements, billing, payments, audits, policy reviews, and cross-selling to current client base.

 

Qualifications Required:

 

* High energy, positive attitude, goal oriented, strong people skills, ability to handle multiple tasks, eager to learn, have a strong work ethic, and truly enjoy providing great service to clients are required.

 

* Property & Casualty License and/or insurance experienced preferred, but not required.  If not licensed currently, you must obtain license within 3 months after starting at the agency.

 

* Strong oral and written communication skills

 

* Computer literate
