Internal Auditor - Corporate Legal

Position Summary: 

Auditor will be responsible for performing audits of AvMed Inc and other affiliates of SantaFe HealthCare in Miami, with occasional work in Gainesville and Tampa, under the direct supervision of the Director, Internal Audit.  Provides consulting assistance to management in the assessment of and response to risk within their areas of responsibility. Assists the Director, Internal Audit in the development of annual audit plan.  Consults with management and internal audit leadership to develop appropriate audit programs that will implement the audit plan for AvMed and other affiliates of SantaFe HealthCare.  Conducts audits designed to assess the design and operation of internal controls over financial reporting, information systems, operational efficiency, safeguarding of assets, and regulatory compliance.  Assists in the review of compliance audits performed by operating departments.  Prepares workpapers that document the field work as required by the written reports that meet the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing Prepares audit reports that meet the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing, which are submitted by the director of Internal Audit to senior management and the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors. Designs and performs continuous audit processes that use Audit Command Language software.

 

 





Education/Experience

Bachelor?s degree in Accounting. CPA and/or CIA (Preferably both).  Understanding of the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing. Working knowledge of COSO requirements. Two years experience in performing either internal or external audit field work in conformance with IIA or AICPA standards. Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio, & Access. ACL (Audit Command Language). Work in a well-lighted air-conditioned office, with occasional travel to outlying offices in Gainesville and Tampa. This is an exempt position and may require working long hours outside of the usual work-day to accomplish stated objectives. Auditor will need to provide his/her own transportation between job sites.  Transportation expenses will be reimbursed after the appropriate expense reports have been submitted, approved and processed.
