Job Description and Responsibilities:
Prudential's Life Brokerage Distribution is experiencing continued record growth in sales and penetration in the Independent BGA marketplace. This is an exciting opportunity to join an elite team of professionals that provide the "internal" sales/marketing support to the ten Regional Brokerage Directors in charge of all independent BGA business nationwide. Extensive outbound marketing and some travel would be involved. This is a sales/marketing support role - working with some of the best life distribution organizations in the United States. The Prudential brand, financial strength and strong product/compensation offering is enabling the company to become a name-brand/core carrier in the independent market. We are increasing our internal support team with some of the best and brightest talent in the local area to further accelerate our growth. It's a ground floor opportunity to work with the growth channel at Prudential - a company you can grow and prosper with.
The qualified candidate will work with external marketing partners to market and execute sales support initiatives for life products, focused on building relationships and driving revenue growth within the brokerage structure. This position is responsible for both proactive and reactive marketing initiatives and support including sales illustrations, general case design, website training, conversion and inquiry outreach opportunities. The Brokerage Marketing Specialist must have a strong working knowledge of the Prudential Financial life insurance product line as well as a strong working knowledge of key competitor products.
Job Requirements:
KEY FUNCTIONS:
- Work closely with general agencies and direct producers in assigned territory to familiarize them with Prudential's life products and services by providing the highest level of training, sales support and service.
- Contribute to general agency and producer satisfaction by providing proactive and effective communication, responding to their life insurance product inquiries.
- In support of assigned Regional Brokerage Director, coordinate and execute activities associated with life insurance product and marketing seminars, sales meetings and trade shows.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 2-4 years previous sales/marketing experience in life insurance industry, preferably in the brokerage marketplace
- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience preferred
- Excellent relationship building skills, including ability to partner both internally and externally, provide exceptional customer service and build professional relationships
- Strong knowledge of life insurance products
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills - quick aptitude to learn
- Solid PC skills including MS Office - Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- NASD Series 6 registration required within 6 months of hire
- Industry designations and/or previous life insurance sales experience a plus
