Junior Account Manager

Junior Account Manager

Position Summary

Service, maintain and renew client accounts in support of the sales objectives of the organization. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities

?  Constant Communication with Director of Key Accounts of daily Payor opportunities or issues.

?  Provide expedient and effective client service; including acting as liaison between the client and the provider/vendor to resolve issues.

?  Expeditiously handle claim appeals; prompt pay appeals; and EDI issues forwarded from payors/providers.

?  Notification to data management, accounting and customer service of new groups or changes with existing groups.

?  Maintain Payor contact list; Payor group/renewal spreadsheet with total employees; and Broker/Agent list.

?  Maintain current and thorough records of all client interactions.

?  Assist with obtaining geo access; disruption request; RFP information from marketing?s sales support; Director of Key Accounts responsible for forwarding back to Payor. Maintain spreadsheet of all requests.

?  Request PPO savings reports; claim turnaround reports from Marketing Sales Support.

?  Verify eligibility information on unidentifiable claims and return for processing.

?  Assist with facility claim audits.

?  Interface with Accounting Dept. by verifying Payor are paying correct contracted fees.

?  Forward provider request from Payors to Provider Relations and track status of provider addition to network.

?  Maintain knowledge and understanding of products, regulations, and industry trends.

?  Other duties as assigned.

 

Education and Experience

?  Four-year degree, business school, or equivalent education.

?2-5 years related, applicable experience.

?  Maintain active appropriate professional licenses.

 

 

Skills and Abilities

?  Outstanding written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills.

?  Ability to effectively interact with supervisors, peers, customers, and vendors.

?  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, vendors, or other company employees.

?  Ability to solve problems effectively with critical attention to detail.

?  Excellent follow-through skills.

?  Ability to handle non-routine, standard projects and tasks under general supervision.

?  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

?  Knowledge of PC and/or LAN operating environments.

?  Ability to use advanced word processing, spreadsheet, and database techniques independently.
