Compliance and Internal Audit Specialist (LAAudit)
Our client, a recognized leader in the US & International P&C insurance market is looking for a Compliance and Audit Specialist to assist the SVP with the administration and monitoring of the compliance and internal audit program. Assist in the development of training materials, conduct departmental audits to ensure compliance with the law, regulation and company practice and assist in the liaison role of external examiners conducting compliance and operational reviews of the Company. Create draft policies and procedures to enhance the compliance and audit function of the Company.
You will:
1) Review implementation procedures for state laws, regulations and company rules and conduct audits to ensure compliance.
2) Managing regulatory / non-re compliance examinations I audits and interfacing with auditors in Los Angeles and New York offices by working with the relevant units of the Company to respond to auditors? findings, implementing necessary changes and monitoring future compliance and audit.
3) Assist SVP in the development and implementation of current compliance initiatives, including related manuals, policies and statements.
4) Conduct audits to ensure compliance with certain regulatory or procedural requirements of the Company.
5) Develop and update compliance and information security training and compliance and information security awareness materials.
6) Provide assistance to SVP regarding company licensing function and reports to ensure compliance with current state regulatory requirements.
7) Oversee all U.S. operations compliance program including but not limited to review and root cause analysis of fines and administrative sanctions, complaints and investigation of compliance and internal audit related issues.
You will need to have a college degree, (law degree a plus), Five years of Insurance experience, Strong knowledge of accounting, compliance, Strong research, writing, communication skills, and Internal auditing experience preferred. A Multiline P&C carrier seeks a Web Services Specialist in their Information Systems Unit for their LA regional office. You will be responsible for gathering and documenting client requirements, authoring, and validating reports to create on time delivery of custom reports for internal users, customers, and producers. You will: Work with internal staff, Customers and Producers to create detailed report specifications (requirements); from Requirements within Cognos ReportNet Report Studio, create reports to meet the desired specifications; with the QA group, write, execute, and document test scripts to verify report functionality and data accuracy prior to deployment; and lead discussions with customers and producers to design and create innovative reporting tools.
A college degree is required, BA degree in Administration or related field, 1-2 years experience developing business and technical requirements, report authoring (BI tools, Cognos, SAS, Business Objects) and report validation helpful, Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills, Ability to manage multiple projects to successful and timely completion, Strong analytical, critical thinking and reasoning capabilities, and Demonstrated problem solving skills, creative working solutions.
