LAN SUPPORT ANALYST

The position is located in Englewood, CO.

 

The purpose of the department is to  support the objectives and goals of Distribution and the company.

 

The scope of this job is Perform database development SQL/Oracle, middleware web applications, web programming to include HTML, JavaScript, Java, ASP, .Net, SQL, C#, Scripting for Flash.

 

The individual will be responsible for
Task/MR(Major Responsibility)
1: Application and Software Support Performed under direct supervision. Suggest, get approval and develop Regional Office Applications that support sales. Write code for Regional Office internet/intranet sites. Documents all applications that are developed/white paper. Detail oriented with regards to commenting all code. Acts as a consultant to all departments as it relates to Intranet Technologies. Shares success stories, strategies, and design with other regions. Openly suggests ways to automate and improve ASD process. Application and database development, design, creation, training and ongoing support as needed. Completes and tests applications. Develops training material/Job Aids for all applications developed. Task/MR(Major Responsibility)
2: Technology Consulting Identify clients Meet with clients to provide front end analysis of user needs Provide direction on decisions regarding existing and future uses of technology that are in line with Allstate's Information Management Integration Process Determine if user need is training, environment, or technology need? If technology need, determines options and costs, advises client Measures impact Follows up with client to verify needs were met Task/MR(Major Responsibility).
 3:Implement New Technologies Responsible for knowledge of all web applications, intranet, and RO web sites and existing and new technologies associated with these areas. Responsible for delivering innovative, revenue generating, and cost saving ideas for the region and company with regards to technology and application development.

 

The skills required are:

 

1. Beginner - Craddle to grave SQL/Oracle programming and development.
2. Beginner - HTML, JavaScript, CSS
3. Beginner - ASP, .Net, Crystal Reports, C #
4. Beginner - Scripting for Macromedia Flash

 

Experience Required:
Experience with SQL and C# in web application environment.

 

Computer Proficiency:
Minimum of skill sets listed above.

 

Education:
College Degree  - Preferred
Major preference: Bachelor's degree reguired in Computer Science
