LIABILITY CLAIM COORDINATOR

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Manage auto, property and general liability claims for BMHC/BMCI and manage construction defect and bodily injury claims for BMC West including:Processing auto physical damage, auto third-party liability, property and miscellaneous general liability claims for BMHC and all subsidiaries;Processing bodily injury and construction defect general liability claims for BMC West;Assisting business units with related claim reporting procedures and interaction with claim adjusters at insurance companies and third-party administrators (TPAs);Working directly with insurance companies and TPAs to move managed claims to resolution;Training business unit claim coordinators and safety personnel; andConducting periodic claim reviews

QUALIFICATIONS

 Four year college degree required; risk management professional credentials (such as CPCU or ARM designation) a plusMinimum of six years experience in corporate or insurance industry claim handling or risk managementExperience with and demonstrable knowledge of Auto, Property Liability and Construction Defect laws in one or more statesProficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Windows-based software, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access)Experience with risk management information systems such as Marsh STARS or AIG IntelliRiskExcellent written and oral communication, analytical, and computer skillsAbility to travel up to 30% on average
