LOSS CONTROL SPECIALIST

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced loss control specialist servicing a territory of Oregon and Washington.  This is a new opportunity available due to company growth.

 

In this position, you will provide loss control service to existing and potential policyholders. Major job duties include:

 

?  Evaluate, appraise and recommend the desirability of continuing with a current account.

?  Develop and present various training programs regarding all areas of coverage including workers? compensation.

?  Assist sales representatives and sales managers in the evaluation and recommendation to the desirability of prospective accounts. 

?  Provide specific recommendations to improve the desirability of a given account.  

?  Survey and return completed reports promptly and within company guidelines. 

 

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years loss control experience and will be familiar with all aspects of property and casualty loss control. A working knowledge of NFPA guidelines and OSHA standards are also required.

 

Candidates will be able to work independently, be a self-starter, and have strong consultation skills.  Requires a degree in loss control, engineering, occupational safety and health, or equivalent experience.  An ARM, ALCM or CSP designation is preferred.  Position also requires a valid driver?s license and some overnight travel.
