Liability Specialist

Education:
Bachelors degree from accredited college or university preferred.

Competencies/Tech Skills:
? Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
? Knowledge of insurance contracts, claims handling techniques, laws and applicable negligence statutes
? Will be able to work independently with little to no supervision.
? Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
? Strong analytical skills
? Organizational and multi-tasking abilities
? Excellent negotiation skills
? Exceptional customer service skills
? Team Player who can assist others as needed
? Adhere to all regulations and Unfair Claims Practices
? Current on state regulations and Industry updates
? Training and presentation skills (preferred but not required)

Position Responsibilities:
The PD Liability Specialist position is being created to strengthen liability assessment and negotiation of PD files. The candidate will be required to:
? Provide technical guidance and training to staff on claim investigation, evaluation, and negotiation
? Provide training to claim staff on all aspects of liability investigation.
? Assist supervisors in reviewing individual adjuster work product.
? Provide relevant and constructive feedback
? Actively participate in committees, projects and complex claims.
? Analyze information to identify trends/adjusters? skill level and develop appropriate training.
