Life Insurance Sales Manager (Wholesaler)

BISYS Insurance Services is the nation's largest independent distributor of life insurance and makes available the industry's most comprehensive platform of insurance products. Financial professionals can access a wide variety of products through this platform, including traditional and variable life, long-term care, disability, and annuity products. This platform currently links more than 100,000 financial services professionals with the insurance products manufactured by approximately 200 leading insurance companies, and currently supports the sale of insurance products with annual policy premiums exceeding $300 million.
BISYS Insurance Services is currently seeking Sales Managers to join its wholesale team in Houston, TX.
Responsibilities:
This individual will primarily be responsible for introducing BISYS Insurance Services to insurance agents and/or financial advisors, and encouraging them to access a variety of insurance products through BISYS. In addition, this individual will work as part of a wholesaling team that is assigned a geographic territory or national account, and will then call on all qualified agents/advisors within that territory or account.
BISYS Sales Managers are responsible for generating sales for a variety of insurance products, including Life Insurance, Disability Income, Long-term Care, and Annuities.
Specific job duties will include:
*Make pro active outbound telephone calls to agents/advisors.
*Successfully introduce and position multiple insurance products (life, disability income, long-term care, annuities).
*Maintain relationship management responsibilities for assigned agents/advisors, making sure they are satisfied with the products/services they are accessing through BISYS.
*Work with the sales team to design and implement strategies that will result in increased production by assigned agents/advisors.
*Engage in other related sales activities, such as creating sales ideas, cross-selling and up-selling, communicating product/service updates, thank you calls, etc.
*Work internally with other BISYS departments to effectively issue and place policies.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess the following:
> 2+ years of sales experience, preferably in the life insurance industry.
> Previous telephone sales experience is required.
> Understanding of life, annuity, disability and LTC insurance products.
> Four-year college degree preferred.
> Effective interpersonal and written communication skills.
> Proven track record of progressive sales quota attainment.
> Ability to work in a self-directed fashion.
Successful candidates have had retail sales experience with life insurance and understanding the technical aspects of life insurance products and underwriting.
