Life & Health Claim Adjuster

The Career Agency Group specialize in providing individuals with life insurance policies as well as specific property-damage insurance. We have over 2,500 insurance agents in 25 states that deliver a high level of personalized service. 

 

Due to expansion in our home office, we are seeking Claim Adjusters to process life and health claims with adherence to contract provisions, company policies and legal requirements.  Claims must be processed within approved timeliness, productivity and accuracy standards.

 

Principal Duties:  (number assigned determines importance, i.e. 1=highest priority)

 

1. Process life and health claims within approved timeliness, productivity and accuracy standards.

 

1. Communicate with the field force, insured, beneficiaries and other clients via written correspondence and/or the telephone.

 

2. Accurately handle special projects as assigned.

 

 Qualifications and Experience

 

Education:  High School Diploma or equivalent required.  Successful completion of LOMA I and II preferred but not required.

 

Qualifications:  Adequate keying/typing skills preferred (at least 30 wpm).  Claim experience preferred.  Demonstrated good communication, strong mathematical, strong service orientation and good organization skills required.  Quality decision maker.  Ability to maintain an acceptable case load, thrive in a team environment, and successfully interact with agents, clients, and other personnel. 

 

Experience:  At least one year previous experience in a claim area or similar position, 1 - 2 years of experience in an office setting.
