Litigation Risk Analyst / Paralegal

Position Summary
We are searching for an experienced, well-organized litigation risk analyst / paralegal to assist the company?s attorneys with servicing our Commercial Lines customer, which is a leading Fortune 500 company The Litigation Risk Analyst will work closely with internal attorneys to assess risk, track key legal events, manage information flow, and produce reports to support litigation recommendations.
Position Responsibilities
? Evaluate strength of case, based on legal documents/summaries and internal and external database extracts (weigh strength of source, length of exposure, etc.)
? Extract key trial information from legal documents/summaries and database extracts and update calendar of trials and key events for management
? Coordinate requests for documentation in litigated matters and provide periodic updates concerning same (includes status, legal fees paid, and settlement monies paid)
? Monitor and Report on legal expense budgets
? Work with internal and external counsel to prepare analyses that support different litigation recommendations (take to trial, settle, move to dismiss, etc.)
? Work with various technologies to maintain/update calendar of trials and related events
? Interface with internal attorneys and local counsel to track down relevant information
? Reconcile claimant lists, research and understand discrepancies
? Format spreadsheets/summaries for clear presentation of information
Required Qualifications
? Bachelor?s degree, Paralegal certificate and/or prior relevant experience a plus
? Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications with advanced skills in Excel
? Ability to multitask while working independently and collaboratively to meet challenging customer requirements with continuously shifting priorities
? Strong analytical skills to review documents/research information
? Ability to summarize, evaluate, translate large amounts of legal case information
? Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills with senior level business managers and high end customers; ability to effectively elaborate upon/defend a position
? Exceptional level of integrity and accuracy combined with strong organizational skills to coordinate a variety of activities
? Motivated self starter with demonstrated skills in ownership, initiative and creativity
? Takes ownership for own professional development
