Loss Control Representative

 

Position Title: Loss Control Representative 

Reports To: Manager, Loss Control

Direct Reports: None

Indirect Reports: None

 

Overall Purpose and Main Objectives:

  This position is accountable for conducting property and casualty inspections to identify hazards and maintenance deficiencies, and to establish accurate insurance valuations.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

? Conducts on-site surveys and property inspections to evaluate risk exposures and report conditions.

? Schedules appointments for inspections, basing schedule on types of inspection and geography to maximize productivity and quality.

? Completes all necessary reports on inspections performed and complies with Company service standards. Communicates findings with underwriters, agents and insureds, as appropriate.

? Inputs risk characteristics data into the Marshall & Swift BVS system.

 

 

 

 Required Knowledge and Experience:

 

?  Associate?s Degree or equivalent business experience

?  2-4 years related experience

?  Excellent interpersonal skills

?  Excellent written and oral communication skills

?  Good knowledge of fundamentals of property/casualty risk assessment and control

?  Strong independent work habits

?  Ability to travel frequently

? Expertise in ITV using Marshall & Swift BVS and demonstrated success in completing evaluations that meet quality standards a plus

?  Must be able to drive a vehicle and have a clear driving record. Must be able to walk some distances and climb stairs when measuring/photographing properties.
