GENERAL INFORMATION:

The Marketing Representative  is responsible for overseeing agent/agency licensing and contracting, including maintaining the agency/agent data with appropriate documentation of processes.  The position requires close contact with an outside vendor and carrier marketing staff to track and resolve agency/agent issues.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Coordinate new and renewal agent appointmentsCoordinate new agency appointment agreementConfirm agent/agency compliance with carrier requirements Research agent/agency issues with appropriate carrier/vendor sources to affect prompt resolutionTrack carrier and vendor performance in resolving agent/agency concernsPrepare management information reports as neededParticipate in preparation of agency/agent  training material or communicationSpecial projects, as neededMaintains understanding of carrier manual rules and procedures, including agency quoting/submission process.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years personal lines insurance experienceAbility to utilize problem solving techniquesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently, prioritize workload, plan, organize and coordinate work assignmentsProficient in using Microsoft Word, Outlook, and ExcelAny basic experience with databases, including Microsoft Access or SQL Server is a major plusMust have previous experience with policy production and management systems and carrier manual of rules, rates and procedures and operational guidelines
