MCO Director of Operations/Workers' Compensation -- Columbus

Our client, a national leading third-party administrator (TPA), has sought our help in finding and recruiting a Director of Operations for their Managed Care Organization (MCO) in Columbus, Ohio . Reporting directly to the company President, the selected individual will be responsible for the planning, direction, control and oversight of operational aspects of the organization?s MCO including: Disability/Case Management, Customer Care, Bill Review, Check Disbursement, Quality Assurance and Project Management.

Qualifications and Responsibilities include:

? Designing, developing and implementing cost effective strategies that promote productive outcomes for all operations.

? Creating and operating within the financial budgets for all operational units.

? Acting as business liaison between the MCO and the Bureau of Workers? Compensation (BWC).

? Represent the MCO at client meetings and presentations when needed.

? Act as chair for Quality Improvement Program, maintaining responsibility for achievement and compliance of quality accreditations within the MCO

? Provide leadership and act as a resource for MCO management staff and employees with respect to Ohio workers? compensation laws, rules and policies.

? Responsible for the employment, promotion, performance evaluation, training, motivation, counseling, and discipline of assigned personnel.

? Partner with key management team members from other corporate divisions to determine best practices, provide smooth interaction, and promote teamwork.

? Develop, update, and analyze reporting tools to allow for strong oversight and controls of all areas of operation.

? Analyze organizational needs and make recommendations regarding structure and staffing model.

? Responsible for leadership and management of Case Management staff and operations.

Experience:



? Bachelor?s degree in business management or equivalent

? 10+ years experience and proficiency with workers? compensation legal and regulatory requirements and quality/managed care concepts

? 7+ years strong management experience

? 6 + years experience managing case management, utilization management, or rehabilitation.
