Description:
The employee must evaluate ?Mainstream? claims and lawsuits against our Design Professional policy holders, with respect coverage and loss exposure, and ensure timely, cost-effective closure via denial, settlement or litigation.
?Review loss information and determine coverage based on policy provisions and applicable case law/statutory requirements; retain outside coverage counsel when necessary.
?Formulate investigation plans to resolve critical issues and resolve claims pre-litigation
?Manage litigation and associated costs with respect to selection of counsel, experts and vendors; negotiation of respective rates/fees for services.
?Recognize loss potential to ensure that the claim stays within mainstream authority
?Negotiate and settle claims within prescribed authority($100,000)
?Pursue subrogation opportunities
?Support the marketing efforts of the A&E Underwriters
?Provide timely, accurate loss information to A&E Underwriters
