Major National Account Executive

BASIC FUNCTION:

This position is responsible for ensuring continued and increased growth by negotiating renewals or selling products and services to existing customers, understanding customer needs, and providing customer support.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1) General Lines Agent - Life, Health, and HMO State Insurance License; 2) 6 years successful record as a group health insurance account executive OR combination of 4 years group health insurance account executive experience and 2 years experience in claims, customer service, managed health care experience in a role requiring self-direction, initiative, and decision making and analysis; 3) Demonstrated experience with managed care products (HMO, PPO) processes and trends; 4) Demonstrated experience managing larger and/or more complex accounts; 5) Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills; 6) Ability to travel; 7) Ability to address customer needs and make sound decisions; build strong customer relations; 8) Ability to analyze reports and financial analysis skills; 9) Effective written and verbal communication skills, along with negotiation and presentation skills.

 

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1) Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Business
