Position Description

The Personal Lines Marketing Specialist plays a critical role in achieving goals relative to profit and growth for Chubb Personal Insurance (CPI) in metropolitan Washington DC.

The marketing specialist will manage a $25M+ book of profitable CPI business, including several Cornerstone Agents and significant VIP accounts. The marketing specialist is accountable for profitably growing this business through the implementation of sound business plans at the agency level and the effective influencing of numerous constituencies to drive desired business results. Great marketing specialists develop long-term relationships through effective travel, superior service and producer education. The role of marketing specialist enables creativity and entrepreneurship and rewards positivity, aggressiveness, and responsiveness.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Successful Candidates should have a solid underwriting foundation / background with a minimum of 3 years experience (personal lines experience preferred, but not a must).

The successful candidate will also need to demonstrate:

? Strong interpersonal skills; excellent oral, written communication and negotiation ability as well as effective presentation and negotiation skills are critical to success in this position.
? Also critical is the ability to work independently, be a self-starter and simultaneously manage numerous priorities and strategies.
? Be strong in sales and marketing as well as, have the ability to build, strong relationships.
? Demonstrated ability to develop creative, innovative solutions as well as a have a proven track record of superior performance and leadership
? Have the ability to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external business partners.
? Ability to be creative and adaptable in a changing business environment
? Sound, balanced, and timely decision making skills
? Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite as well as other business-related software

Education:
Bachelors Degree preferred
