State National Companies is searching for a Mortgage Claims Adjuster who will examine, analyze, and determine the extent of the company's liability concerning property loss or damages on claims filed.
? Examine mortgage claim forms and other records to determine appropriate insurance coverage
? Interpret account insurance coverage in order to settle claim
? Analyze information obtained by investigation and report findings in order to evaluate mortgageclaims and determine the coverage of loss or damage
? Assess the extent of the loss or liability
? Ensure that drafts are issued as claim payments are prepared and liability releases for adjusted claims are obtained
? Calculate payments and approve payment of mortgage claims within a certain monetary limit.
? Responsible for complying with state laws, policies and company procedures
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications/skill set:
? Minimum of 3 years property adjusting experience
? Experience in Mortgage Protection Insurance
? Working knowledge of ?Exactimate?
? 1+ years CAT experience preferred
? Ability to work with little to no supervision, self motivated
? Strong attention to detail
? High School Diploma with some college preferred
