New Business Coordinator

Our agency is looking for an individual with agency services experience, interested in underwriting, rating and issuance of new business.  This position will be a liaison between the Sales & Marketing and the Sales Support Team.  Our company's focus is maintaining excellent service to all our clients.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

? On-line rating new commercial lines business.

? Order and summarize all loss information.

? Review applications, renewal requests, and endorsements for compliance with underwriting authority and 

  guidelines.

? Prepare premium notes, questionnaires, and/or any vital documents required by the various companies.

? Negotiate with underwriter(s), and communicate and obtain requirements to/from producers.

? Upon the sale of an account/policy, issue invoice, binders, premium finance notes, auto ID cards and

  generally do ?whatever it takes? to finish up the sale of the account/policy.

? To collect premiums per established agency procedures before binding any coverage.

? Respond to any and all inquiries from the carrier, producer and/or insured until the policy is received.



? Keep current on rates, forms and coverage changes through circulars and bulletins, trade publications and

  seminars and schools offered.

? Actively participate in seminars and classes for skill and knowledge development.

? Issue policies and/or endorsements as required by company.

? Keep producers fully informed of all important activities on their accounts including being sensitive to potential 

  problems and informing management as appropriate.

 

 

EDUCATION/BACKGROUND Minimum 2 years agency experience.  Knowledge of Applied Systems and/or TAM a plus.  Must be able to work independently and build strong client and company relationships.  Some ccollege course work preferred.  Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
