Personal Lines Product Analyst

Description:
PREFERRED LOCATION: Loveland, OH office; Keene, NH will also be considered.

PURPOSE: This position is designed to prepare the Product Analyst for successful advancement within Personal Lines. It is a clear opportunity for the PL Product Analyst with the ability and interest to take on more responsibility.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Works with managers to develop, maintain, and implement products. Analyzes coverage forms, rate, profit and volume trends of existing states.
2) Works with Actuarial and Regional Companies in support of pricing revisions. Studies competitive products and rates, and makes appropriate product pricing recommendations.
3) Monitors and analyzes laws and regulations. Identifies changes requiring product revision and drives implementation to assure compliance.
4) Develops communications memos and bulletins on program changes. Works with Regional Companies to accomplish desired premium and PTOI objectives.
5) Works with Claims to identify and implement product program design changes that enhance profit. Develops knowledge of claims handling and reserving practices. Provides input on loss trends experienced by book of business.
6) Works with Regional Companies to identify and implement program/systems design changes that enhance profit. Participates in underwriting audits.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent with at least 3 years relevant experience; CPCU preferred. Excel skills required. Understanding and/or experience with product development, rate-making, insurance financials, marketing and DOI communication/processes
Interact with State Filings, Legal, Actuarial, Marketing, Underwriting, Claims, various vendors.
