Personal Lines Underwriter Associate

Competencies/Job Skills:
As an Underwriter Associate works closely with both internal and external customers, the position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, decision-making ability, a commitment to excellent customer service, and the ability to prioritize work and function effectively in a team environment while staying organized.

Position Description:
The Underwriter Associate operates as an integral part of a team consisting of Underwriting Center staff, Branch Marketing staff, Personal Lines Service Branch (PLSB) personnel, Appraisal Services, and our agency force. The Underwriter Associate supports growth and profit goals with an assigned book of agents by pre-screening and evaluating new line, endorsement, and renewal business transactions to ensure conformity with our underwriting strategy. The successful candidate will pay close attention to detail and accuracy in handling all transactions, be able to multi-task and prioritize daily responsibilities to meet service standards, maintain a helpful attitude, and contribute to a positive team environment while working in an exciting and fast-paced environment.

Education: Previous insurance experience and/or related experience.
