Policyowner Service Administrator

This position is in our Policyowner Services Department and is responsible for hangeling complex matters that have been esclated up from the POS staff, solving difficult problems involving agents and policyholders, and processing complex policy changes. You will be interpreting our policies to determine how to meet our policy owners requests and interpreting policy provisions and explaining policy provisions and benefits as requested . Other duties include responding to non-routine policyholder and agent correspondence including complaints, consulting and confering within and outside the department regarding advanced policy service requests. A great deal of your time will be spent on the telephone. You will work in a team environment with a friendly staff. The ability to motivate or influence others is important in this role, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Fostering sound relationships with individuals outside the company is necessary. Obtaining cooperation from others, internally and externally, is an important part of the job.

To qualify, you need three years of experience working in longterm care, life or health insurance. Experience working with computers in an office environment, a pleasant telephone manner, the ability to multi-task, and an eye for detail. Excellent problem solving and analytical skills. We will train you regarding Policyowner Service procedures.

Basic typing skills (40 wpm)
