Procurement System Administrator

Description: Develop and implement short and long-term strategies to support goals and objectives relating to the acquisitions of goods and services activities as well as contracting activities. Provide training and superior customer service capability to support product acquisition and contracting technologies to the department and its clients. Create, revise and manage supplier enablement policy and procedures and coordinate such activity with A/P, the department and its clients. Support procurement-centric systems reporting requirements as necessary. Perform or coordinate special projects as requested.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in business or computer science required.
3-5 years of experience in technology specializing in the implementation of purchasing and sourcing business applications required. Experience with web-based applications, a must.
Project management and business process re-engineering experience required.
Highly developed facilitation, problem solving, decision making and consensus building skills.
Extensive knowledge of I/S department functions and general knowledge of IT concepts and terminology.
Highly developed oral and written communication skills; strong presentation skills.
Thorough math skills.
Proficient in the use of computer systems, personal computers and software such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project and
business process modeling. Experience with "Ariba", or similar e-procurement package, is highly desirable.
