Responsibilities:
Our Product Managers are in the driver?s seat. They have direct responsibility for the successful growth and profit performance of a geographic sector and line of business of our insurance operation. They create and implement business strategies, manage product design and pricing, and work with our independent distributors to meet established goals. Our Product Managers thrive on responsibility.

Direct strategic planning of personal Auto, Property or Specialty lines for a set of states, including short and long-term blueprints for market share, revenue growth and net profit.
Work closely with cross-functional team members to develop and execute business plans, including creation of annual growth, retention and profit forecasts.
Provide senior leadership and field with regular assessment of financial results and both lag and lead indicators of future performance.
Recommend and implement corrective actions to improve results.
Build productive relationships with independent distributors to promote the use of our products; influenced by relationship, trust, ease-of-doing business and financial incentives.


Qualifications:
Demonstrated academic achievement with strong quantitative background.
Bachelors or Masters degree in an analytical field of study. Some examples would be Economics, Finance, Math, Statistics, Banking, etc.
Excellent analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to make and execute data-driven decisions.
Ability to represent Safeco?s interests to regulators, independent distributors and the public.
Excellent presentation /training skills and ability to interact effectively with all sizes of groups
Proven ability to motivate and educate others to provide alignment to attain goals
At least 6 years business experience or equivalent
