Responsibilities:

Underwrite Medical Facility Professional Liability risks including selection/rejection of new and renewal business.
Develops and maintains broker relationships within territory.
Evaluate, select, classify and rate each risk; establish standards of coverage and amount of protection to be offered.
Price and sell/retain acceptable risks and ability to negotiate coverage terms.


Requirements:

5+ years Professional Liability underwriting experience (prefer Medical Facilities).
Solid analytical skills to grasp complex issues and present to others.
Strong communications, presentation, sales and negotiation skills.
Knowledge of Surplus Lines industry
Excellent human relations skills to develop and maintain broker and insured relationships.
Possible overnight travel as needed.
