Project Manager - Global Client Development - New York

Objective:


 


To provide project management support as respects the design, implementation and monitoring of key components within a global strategy by establishing and executing against a strong project plan in conjunction with Global Client Development (GCD) and associated business partners and project teams.  Enhance execution through the effective integration and management of numerous aligned, but separate projects/tasks.


 


Description: 


 


Provides day-to-day project management guidance/support as respects all project phases. Works directly with GCD leadership and Practices (Marketing, Sales, Client Executive, and Marsh Industry Practices) to assure clear assignment of roles and tasks, and timely completion based on the project schedule. Partners with GCD leadership to set meetings,  agendas, notify participants, prepare and distribute meeting materials, facilitate meetings, and follow up on outcomes and assignments.


 


Responsibilities/Deliverables:


 

To provide day-to-day project management guidance/support to Global Client Service Leader, as respects all phases of multiple projects being simultaneously implemented.
To understand Global strategy and the specific projects and document needs in the context of a specific project plans, tracking deliverables, ROI, resource requirements, and timing.
To help project leaders develop business cases around specific projects and guide them through the technology governance process.
To establish appropriate metrics and a process for monitoring results.



? Proven project management skills and experience.

? 3-5 years experience in insurance or related field.

? Experience working with a multi-cultural global team.

? Knowledge of client-facing business processes in a professional services organization.

? Strong technology capability and interest in relevant technologies and related systems (both existing and potential).

? Ability to develop high level of credibility and strong relationships with key stakeholders within and outside of GCD.

? Ability to manage detailed information and produce high quality output. 

? Strong communication (written and verbal), facilitation, project management, and consensus-building skills.
