Property & Material Damage Claims Specialist to $60k+ -

Job Description: This is an excellent opportunity for someone with solid material damage and commercial property technical skills who is looking for an opportunity to manage others as well as handle coverage issues, complex claims and high severity claims.

Our ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge in the handling commercial property losses including business income claims and inland marine, and personal automobile property damage losses including total losses and total thefts. They will possess a strong commitment to following Claim Best Practices and exceeding Customer Service expectations.

Job description:

Coverage; Identify, interpret, analyze, guide and address complex coverage issues.

Investigation; Obtain necessary investigation to ascertain liability, the proximate cause
of the loss, identify culpable parties, preserve evidence and obtain applicable contracts.

Evaluate Damages; Ascertain damages via an automobile or property appraisal, retention of a contractor or expert or vendor and applying co-insurance penalties, depreciation and deductibles to the loss.

Liability; Ability to analyze liability and apply appropriate States laws, rules, regulations and precedents.

Salvage / Subrogation; Ability to preserve, protect and pursue salvage and subrogation.

Vendors; Ability to determine the need for the utilization of a vendor and guide, use and direct them effectively and efficiently.

Disposition; Ability to promptly and fairly resolve claims or develop a disposition plan of action.
