Assignment Capsule
The Provider Relations Consultant will introduce Humana's new Medicare Advantage products to the Provider community. S/he will establish positive, on-going relationships with doctors, their staff, hospitals and ancillary providers throughout the state.

Manage and direct Provider Relations processes

Provide education to Provider community regarding Humana's Medicare Advantage product

Ensure Provider issues and question are handled and resolved in a timely manner

Role Essentials

This position requires solid experience (at least 2 years prior experience) in Provider Affairs or Provider Relations in a Managed Care setting

Must be familiar with the Provider communities within the state of California.
Role Desirables

College Degree preferred

Understanding of Medicare plan designs, capitated and fee-for-service reimbursement, electronic claims transfer, networks and system capabilities is highly desired
Reporting Relationships
The position reports to the Director of Network Operations in Phoenix, AZ.
Additional Information

This position requires a minimum of 50% travel throughout the state

Occasional after hours and/or weekend activity will be necessary
