WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

QAT delivers measurable value to our clients every day through ongoing underwriting and consultative relationships. We do this by providing independent and objective information/analysis to our business partners for decision-making, performance assessment and business improvement purposes. QAT Consultants form the foundation of this process by assessing and reporting on the accuracy/effectiveness of The Hartford's underwriting expectations. QAT Consultants also compliment management?s strategic objectives by identifying process/operational improvements; leveraging from their business acumens to correct them; identifying the financial Impact of Quality (IQ); and ultimately improving The Hartford's results through coaching, mentoring and training of individual underwriters. The ideal candidate is a proven performer with a solid underwriting package/E&O background with a focus on Technology.

Qualified candidates will have the following requirements: A minimum of 3-5 years of package/E&O underwriting experience with a focus on Technology.Be able to work independently and in a team environment. Have experience with underwriting issue identification and making recommendations for improvement.

WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION?

The QAT Consultant will:Develop an underwriting mastery of The Hartford's Technology products. Provide consistent, independent and objective assessments of written business.Coach, mentor & develop individuals through continuous feedback. Have a thorough understanding of and exposure to Segment?s field organization, including the Home Office and supporting operations. Have continuous exposure to senior management.Hone their leadership, negotiation, supervisory and decision making skills.Broaden their sales and marketing skills by managing and communicating the QAT process.

With solid underwriting experience and the factors described above, QAT Consultants have tremendous organizational visibility and are well positioned for upward movement within the QAT, the Technology Business Unit or other units of The Hartford. Senior management fully endorses our value proposition and looks to QAT to identify top talent and the leaders of tomorrow.

Additionally, certain candidates will be eligible for participation in our P&C Mastery Program. Graduates of this program will attain underwriting and operational proficiencies in Select Customer/Xpand, Middle Market, Risk Management Division, Alternative Markets, Individual Risk, Bond, Marine, Personal Lines and Loss Control.

QAT Consultants may be required to travel approximately 25% of the time to conduct onsite reviews and other consultative projects as needed.
