Summary of Responsibilities:
Performs a variety of payment processing and billing related functions, including remittance credits, ledger and balance reconciliation?s, payment reviews, and both verbal and written communication with our internal and external customers. Analyze and process Metlife MIDAS (Metlife Intergrated Debit Authorization System) inquiries transactions.
Principal Responsibilities:
Detect reasons for discrepancies through review and analysis, and make corrections and adjustments so the payment is processed and accurately recorded. Reconciles ledger and suspense accounts, balancing and reporting internally to our controller's department and suspense unit. Correspond both verbally and in writing with our internal and external customers. Works very closely with our slaes office to resolve issues on individual policies and processing routines. Analyze and process Metlife MIDAS inquiries transactions. Provide customer service support to Financial Service Representatives calling the the RSC 800 telephone number. Process stops, starts, refunds or changes to bank account information on MIDAS requests for a variety of product types.

What You Need to Succeed:


Able to analyze and resolve problems
Understand basic principals of accounting
Albility to communicate verbally and in writing with internal and external customers on sensitive issues
Requires knowledge and understanding of the terminology, codes and processes used in a multitute of automated administration, billing and payment processing systems.
Requires knowledge and understanding of the principles and techniques used for the processing of payments and their impact on the enterprise
Accurate data entry skills are required
Strong team player
Quick to learn multiple functions
Prior experience in a remittance environment, or an administration environment would be a plus but is not required. Ability to set priorities and complete work on a daily basis. Good judgement and ability to make decisions is required. This is a high energy team with daily deadlines and high requirements for accuracy. An AA or BA degree or equivalent work experienced desired.
