Rate Pursuit Analyst

Summary:   The Rate Pursuit Analyst will be responsible for accurately underwriting new and existing auto insurance policies, communicating various underwriting actions and/or premium adjustments to policyholders, developing underwriting efficiencies to assist in meeting departmental goals, as well as, utilizing multiple databases for effective underwriting.

 

 

Job Responsibilities:

 



?  Underwrite new and existing auto insurance policies in multiple states

?  Work within multiple state underwriting guidelines and state regulations

?  Communicate with customers regarding required documentation and/or

  underwriting actions

?  Communicate with multiple internal departments regarding underwriting issues

?  Work with multiple computer databases

?  Develop and enhance underwriting processes and procedures

?  Develop and manage underwriting special projects consistent with departmental goals

?  Work with Product Management and Compliance staff to ensure compliance of 

  underwriting processes and procedures

?  Assist in material misrepresentation investigations and/or fraud investigations



 

 

Qualifications:



 

?  Bachelors degree and/or equivalent experience is required

?  Experience and knowledge in the rating of automobile insurance

?  Underwriting experience is required

?  Strong analytical skills are a must

?  Solid computer skills and use with MS Office Products

?  Intermediate to advance knowledge of MS Excel is a must

?  Experience with property and casualty insurance terminology

?  Strong communication skills and ability to train others

?  Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills a must

?  Ability to interface with diverse employee and customer groups is essential
