Regulatory Services Analyst

 









 




 Job Responsibilities:


Responsible for preparing complete, accurate and timely rate, rule and company form filings including detailed state forms in support of filings.


Research state filing information and submit filings which meet state requirements.


Develop and maintain state regulatory relationships and business relationships across all FFIC disciplines.


Work with Commercial staff (e.g.; underwriting, innovation, actuarial, GCO, claims) to determine Company specific filing needs and requirements.


Assist with compiling statistical information necessary to support rate, rule and form filings.


Recommend effective and efficient methods and procedures to Actuarial/Underwriting to assure timely approval of filings.


Monitor ISO and Rating Bureau Circulars, as well as state bulletins/notices, to ensure compliance.


Identify and recommend action to be taken for compliance to avoid penalties and fines.


Prioritize, prepare and submit rate, rule and form filings to ensure deadlines are met.


Analyze and respond to Insurance Department and Rating Bureau Requests for information.


Notify Company personnel of approvals and statutory changes.


Assist with maintenance of information which documents filing submissions and approvals status.














Job Requirements:


Analytical ability necessary to acquire an understanding of the filing process and the technical aspects of processing company filings.


Exceptional attention to details.


Excellent and effective oral and written communication skills.


Ability to multi-task and complete work with accuracy and efficiency in a high-volume, deadline-oriented environment.


Flexibility and excellent human relations skills with the ability to work independently, as well as to function effectively as part of a team.


Willingness to share ideas and talents to develop the best filing solutions.


Experienced with ISO and Rating Bureau Circulars.


Experience with and/or aptitude for automated office system applications.


Knowledge of FFIC commercial systems, manuals, and databases.
