Resident Production Underwriter

A+ rated, 100 year old P&C carrier enjoys their status as the dominant player in a specific niche of Commercial Property Casualty Insurance, and prides itself on long term relationships with their key broker-partners.

This highly regarded company will be placing a Resident Commercial Lines Underwriter servicing their New York City brokers.

The individual selected will work strategically with six key brokers in New York City and Long Island to identify, quote and win new business within their specific P&C niche while renewing a $4 million book of current business. The Resident Underwriter will visit the assigned brokers at least twice a month each, and participate in client site visits and inspections, perform due diligence to underwrite the accounts, and represent the company at industry trade shows and associational meetings.

Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree
Minimum of 5 years commercial P&C experience
Excellent technical and relationship skills
Limited overnight travel.
