Risk Management Consultant
Midwest Employers Casualty Company is a leading provider of Excess Workers Compensation Insurance to the self-insured employers market across the US. We are based out of St. Louis, MO. MECC seeks a Risk Management Consultant. This person can work from a remote location within the United States.
Position Summary:
The Risk Management Consultant will be responsible for educating clients, prospects, agents, claim administrators and internal employees on how to implement and apply best-practice initiatives in all areas of a workers? compensation program. The Risk Management Consultant will function to expose all self-insured stakeholders to MECC?s best-practice expertise in helping clients run a best-practice workers? compensation program that results in financial health to the insured, as well as the physical health of its employees.
The Risk Management Consultant will present relevant best-practice topics to national, regional and state associations within the self-insured community. The Risk Management Consultant will facilitate meetings online with a group of clients specific to a given industry. The Risk Management Consultant will work directly with clients to advise them in implementing best-practices in a workers? compensation program as needed. It is expected the Risk Management Consultant will respond to a client?s needs in an expedient and professional.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities/Physical Ability Required:
Education & Professional KnowledgeEducation: Bachelor?s Degree required, Master?s Degree preferredProfessional designations preferred: ARM, CPCU, CSP, CWCPMinimum of ten years experience in Risk ManagementMinimum of ten years experience in Worker Compensation exposureBest-Practices in risk management programsBest-Practices in workers? compensation programsExpert knowledge of hazards/exposures to employees of municipalities and manufacturers
Technical SkillsMicrosoft Point ? Advanced knowledge & skill levelMicrosoft Excel ? Intermediate knowledge & skill levelMicrosoft Word ? Intermediate knowledge & skill levelWeb-based Presentation & Conferencing Media ? Advanced knowledge & skill level
