Risk and Insurance Analyst

Southern States has an opening for a Risk and Insurance Analyst at it's corporate office in Richmond, Virginia. This position requires a Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, business administration. Ability to interact on a professional level with internal and external customers to secure required information. Specialized knowledge of insurance processes (e.g. marketing and placement procedures). Previous Property & Casualty experience or designation preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access). Knowledge of Exchange CSC Computer System and other Southern States computer systems helpful. Superior verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced and productive manner. Self-starter; ability to consistently take immediate action to resolve issues or when made aware of a situation.

Responsibilities include: Prepare and track budgets and cash flow projections; Track, review, monitor and audit insurance policies for terms, conditions and coverages; Review contract insurance provisions and advise on potential indemnification issues. Provide assistance to field/store management in procuring certificates of Insurance; Manage and maintain Certificate of Insurance database; Assist in the creation of management reports and presentations on insurance program, and loss and safety results.
