STD Claims Examiner

Matrix Absence Management is a nationwide service company that partners with large corporate clients to provide customized management of Disability, Workers' Compensation and Family Leave programs.

 

We are currently accepting applications for a Short Term  Disability (STD) Claims Examiners in our Hawthorne, NY office.

 

As a Claims Examiner you will investigate, evaluate and determine benefit eligibility of disability claims in a timely fashion; develop and sustain excellent client relationships. Manage claims according to established procedures; plan documents and state and federal guidelines. Act as liaison between employees, employers and medical providers. The CE must ensure compliance with policy and provisions as well as state and federal regulations and exercise expense management through investigation, appropriate follow up, case management and claim settlements. Position requires; multi-tasking, solid math aptitude, computer literacy and excellent verbal and written communication skills. College Degree or equivalent work experience.
