Sales Manager

Job Responsibilities:

This position must effectively coordinate the distribution of company products through the independent agency distribution channel. Must be able to handle and critically assess multiple states with multiple TSM's (Territory Sales Managers) and Sr. TSM?s.? Must be able to train, coach, and direct multiple staff functions.? Must be able to interact with multiple levels of company employees outside of the sales area.? Must be able to interact with various levels of industry personnel outside of the company.

Knowledge & Skills:

?
A college degree or equivalent experience attained through work experience is preferred; minimum 5 years insurance sales management background or comparable sales/ marketing management experience is preferred.? Extensive knowledge of insurance operations: claims, coverages, products, pricing, and underwriting are preferable to effectively communicate.? A very strong comfort level of interpreting statistical data from company reports is also necessary.

?
This position is required to build strategic working relationships within the company. This person must be able to work effectively and diplomatically with different departments to solve issues for the good of the company.? This person should demonstrate excellent time/priority management skills and be a logical problem solver.

?
The position is required to possess effective written communication skills and be an exceptional public speaker.? This position must be able to make formal presentations to senior staff people.?

?
The position is required to possess excellent planning and organizational skills in order to coach the TSMs in building, executing, and measuring the performance of sales plans for each product/state combination.

?
This individual must be flexible in nature and a highly motivated self-starter.?

?
An advanced ability of operating computers (PC) is necessary.? This position requires a balance between technical proficiency and being a capable people developer.

?
This person is responsible for recruitment of new TSM's, for the development of existing staff, and for developing a team that consistently meets team goals.
