Sales Manager - South Florida
Our health plans have experienced considerable market growth and we are looking forward to continued expansion and profitability in 2006. Because of our strong growth and the development of new product lines, we are recruiting for a Sales Manager for the South Florida Market.
PURPOSE OF JOB:
The primary accountability of this position is to provide the sales management required to achieve the sales and marketing goals for Heritage Health Systems in the South Florida market. The Sales Manager has market responsibility for direct to consumer sales, and the direct management responsibility for the coordination of all sales and marketing activities including direct sales, seminar selling, lead management, broker sales and relations including education and training, and community relations.
JOB COMPONENTS:
? Develop and manage annual, quarterly and monthly marketing plans that achieve sales performance objectives.
? Develop and manage key brokerage and community contacts needed to achieve objectives. Negotiate and maintain service area-wide brokerage network, support the local General Agents and develop employer group activity.
? Provide the appropriate oversight to ensure compliance with all CMS and Office of Insurance Relocation sales and marketing regulations governing the Heritage Medicare Advantage products.
? Develop and manage strong business relationships with internal senior leadership, network providers, employers, brokers and other key customer groups.
? Design, seek approval and execute sales plan to meet member growth goals.
? Achieve significant competitive advantage by developing and supporting outstanding sales and distribution systems for our products. Manage the development of broker and employer group sales tools; for example sales presentations, educational materials, approved collaterals, etc.
? Design a system to effectively manage leads through a distribution process; ensure all leads are contacted and followed to final resolution, and that all Heritage products are offered to prospective members.
? Develop reporting template for leads tracking and sales.
? Work with local brokers to market their existing client base including providing supportive activities such as sales training, direct mail campaigns, event planning and development of new sales tools.
? Work with the lead of provider contracting to develop and support local physician organization marketing. Identify key personal or Primary Care Physicians interested in practice marketing. This shall include supporting onsite meetings to fully explain the product portfolio; determining the level of involvement for each practice; developing a practice marketing plan; implementing the marketing plan and follow-up on all sales opportunities and leads with the practice.
QUALIFICATIONS:
? Minimum five years experience in managing sales and marketing for Medicare managed care organizations.
? Minimum three years experience successfully meeting CMS and state regulatory requirements for Medicare Advantage products.
? A clear track record of leadership in growing a Medicare Advantage sales and marketing organization, achieving performance objectives, designing and implementing strategic initiatives and building outstanding working relationships with local market brokers, physicians, community leaders and support staff.
? Key personal attributes include: strong desire to lead and be at-risk for sales performance; ability to inspire colleagues (internal and brokers) to achieve outstanding results; willingness to set priorities and maintain strategic focus; have the highest standards of integrity and business ethics; and possess a passion for personal and team success.
? Florida health insurance license or ability to achieve within 90 days of hire.
