Sales Training Specialist

Jewelers Mutual Insurance Company, the nation?s only company exclusively insuring the jewelry industry, has a career opportunity for a property/casualty sales training specialist.

   

Summary: Develops and coordinates the sales training activities and trade relations activities in assigned region by performing the following duties:

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

Develops and maintains state association relationships in assigned region.

? Prepares sponsorship agreements and manages state sponsorships in assigned region.

 

Represents the company at regional and national trade shows and conventions to promote the company and its products.

 

Maintains a presence through active participation in regional jeweler associations (state, regional, WJA, etc.).

 

May be responsible for one or more of the following activities:

? Monitors Internet discussion channels, responds to messages, pro-actively shares information about safety, security, and insurance topics. (Polygon, IJO, jckmarketplace, Pricescope)

? Write columns and articles for trade association newsletters and trade magazines.

? Develops appropriate communications and maintains Intranet communications

? Maintains database of trade relations contacts.

? Coordinates mail merge activities for promotional purposes.

? Write and develop marketing communications materials for company audiences including agents, jewelers, personal lines customers, agency and employees.

 

Conducts and evaluates competitive products, web presence, etc. presenting findings and recommendations to Sales & Marketing management.

 

Creates and presents insurance and security presentations for jeweler groups.

 

Works with marketing and advertising personnel to coordinate trade relations activities with promotional and sales activities.

 

Works cohesively with Sales, Marketing Communications, and Personal Lines sales and marketing teams.

 

Education and/or Experience:  

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and five or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Property/casualty insurance license in good standing.

 

Other Skills and Abilities:  

Travel will encompass up to 25% of the position via commercial airline, auto, etc.
