Secretary/Administrative Assistant
Anchor Marine Claims Services (AMCS) was established in 1998 to provide clams handling services throughout North America to Assuranceforeningen Skuld, a mutual marine underwriting association headquartered in Oslo, Norway, with offices in Copenhagen, Bergen, Hamburg, Moscow, Piraeus, Singapore and Hong Kong. From its offices in midtown Manhattan, AMCS handles a wide variety of marine insurance claims on behalf of international shipowners and operators, including personal injury, cargo loss, and environmental pollution.
Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to provide secretarial and administrative support for our claims and legal staff. Duties will include:
Typing, word processingScanning documentsAnswering phonesMeeting and greeting international clients and guestsFiling and organizing documentsUpdating and maintaining company databasesScheduling meetings and travel planningPreparing PowerPoint presentations
Job Requirements
Candidates should have 5+ years secretarial experience, with effective organization and communication skills, as well as excellent phone etiquette. Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Outlook, Excel, Access and PowerPoint. Ability to transcribe dictation a plus.
