The following opportunity is currently available in our Paramus, NJ Location:



Senior Benefits Specialist - Responsibilities will include providing customer service for large  national account type clients and supporting the group benefits. Candidates will be responsible for the following:



This is a technical position that requires confidence in front of our clients, exceptional communication skills, and solid experience handling large accounts with 500+ employees. Product knowledge must include Medical (fully insured and self-funded), Dental, Life and LTD coverage. The ability to review and negotiate medical, dental, life and disability underwriting calculations is a must. This position also requires experience with analyzing wellness and disease management programs, the ability to create and forecast budgets on self insured clientele, as well as knowledge of the technology and outsourcing businesses.  Management experience a plus.  A Brokerage or Consultant background is preferred.



Gather, review & evaluate current benefit plans, financial data & funding, determine if current plan meets objectives of client through discussion with the client; and if it does not, make recommendations for changes, market lines of coverage to appropriate carriers based on dynamics & demographics of the group, evaluate and analyze responses & negotiate rates with carriers, prepare & present proposed plans, carriers and funding arrangements to client and/or producer.



Implement new benefits/products by working with the carriers and the benefit staff at the client's office, prepare and manage timeline for implementation process, organize and conduct enrollment meetings, assist with preparation of employee communication pieces, review contracts and SPD's.



Maintain benefit plans through account management activities. Follow through for renewals from carriers, analyze and negotiate with carriers & present to client and/or Producer, market line of coverage, suggest plan changes, complete commission reports.



Candidates must havea College degree with a minimum of  12 years of related experience. Must be NJ Life and Health Licensed. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office. Must be extremely organized with exceptionally good math, written and oral communication, as well as technical skills.
