Senior Commercial Lines Rater

Job Description: The Hanover Insurance Group is searching for a Senior Commercial Lines Rater

Position Summary:
Determine premium charges for all Commercial Lines of business using both manual and automated methods. Issues timely and accurate quotes, and endorsements for Commercial Lines policies. Provides customer service support for agents and insureds handling various inquiries and requests. Works with CL Underwriters to deliver a timely and accurate product to agents and insureds. Successfully follows and executes renewal bypass program. Can rate for all lines of business and multiple states. Line of business expert.


Position Responsibilities:

Rate and issue all lines of business using both manual and automated methods, Commercial Lines new business, renewals, policy quotes, endorsements and cancellations for all lines of business

Interpret issuance and rating instructions from Underwriters for new business, renewals, policy quotes, endorsements, and cancellations

Stay current with changing conformance or compliance issues, as well as procedural, system, or workflow changes

Provide technical and service support to agents and underwriters

Execute bypass programs for renewals and endorsements

Deliver timely and accurate quotes and policies

1 - 3 Years of related experience

Educational Expectations:

Associates Degree preferred
