Job Title: Senior Director, Training and Quality Reports to: Vice President, Operations
Job Summary:
Identifies high-impact business process design, redesign and improvement opportunities. Leads "internal client" teams in implementing the improvements.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Directs the development and implementation of studies of business functions and systems to include data collection, flow-charting and analyses.
Oversees the preparation of narratives and graphic displays of the findings
Evaluates processes and systems based on "best practices" in any industry, with the assistance of subject matter experts (WellCare employees, customer, and industry experts).
Directs the coordination of the preparation of reports setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations and conclusions.
Prioritizes business systems/process change requirements as part of the strategic planning process. Leads the implementation of selected priorities.
Responsible for constant benchmarking of the current state of education and training including such issues as: Healthcare Industry direction and challenges. Skills and competencies of WellCare major job families needed now and in the future. Technology issues, competition and changing customer needs in relation to education
Develops and directs the implementation of strategies to substantially improve efficiencies and service provided while reducing costs.
Develops and directs the implementation of goals and performance standards for Operations and its associates.
Develops hiring and performance management strategies that enhance employee retention and morale.
Works closely with the appropriate parties to implement state of the art initial training and quality assurance programs.
Manages and develops direct reports who include other management or supervisory personnel and/or exempt individual contributors.
With approval of Senior VP or VP establishes budget and monitors for adherence.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor?s degree
Experience: 2+ years of experience in business process improvement/reengineering in a large firm. 4+ years management experience in a large corporation dealing with large-scale enterprise wide projects. 2+ years experience managing "client" teams
