Senior E&S Underwriter

Our client offers an array of Property & Casualty products for the business community and have a solid reputation in the specialty lines market. They currently offer an opportunity to join their organization's operation located in Madison, WI. Madison is a very desirable Midwest City that consistently ranks among the top places to live by a well known national reach magazine. In the position of E & S Underwriter you will be responsible to minimize risk by accepting and rejecting insurance applications and modifying insurance coverage. This will include quoting and selecting new business by reviewing applications, applying company guidelines, and communicating decision as necessary to agents and/or managers. Process renewals by reviewing current policy status and conditions, pricing, getting updated information, taking appropriate action and suspense for future actions. To be consider you must offer a Bachelor's degree and 5-7 or more years excess & surplus lines commercial underwriting experience working with General Agents. Product development experience required. Experience in assisting with the development of guidelines, forms, rates and applications. Completion or continuing work towards Certification in CIC, IIA, CPCU desirable.
