Sr. Commercial Field Production Underwriter Specialist

State Auto Insurance Company, an eighty-five-year-old, A+ (Superior rated), multi-line, property-casualty insurance company has an opening for an experienced Senior Commercial Specialist to work from their home and cover a Maryland territory.  The Senior Commercial Specialist has underwriting authority and works directly with independent insurance agency producers in an assigned territory to increase commercial lines profitability and premium volume.

 

Candidates should have a four year college degree or equivalent experience, direct insurance sales experience, and have a strong understanding of commercial lines insurance products.  A proven, successful field commercial production underwriting or inside commercial underwriting background is necessary.  This position also requires excellent communication, interpersonal and organization skills.  Professional insurance designations are desired.
